FIELD NOTE 0002
Memory without identity.
A field can remember an event without constructing a person-shaped application record. Each accepted press keeps only a coarse position, pressure, and five-minute time bucket. Its row contains no account, cookie, network address, location, or fingerprint.
An afterimage is public for up to twenty-four hours, then excluded from the field and removed from the active table by the next successful cleanup. Event data can still be interpreted in context; the application simply does not deliberately make it a durable path to a person.
The pulse above is now evidence rather than ornament. It is green only when the database reports a successful forgetting sweep within the last fifteen minutes; amber means the schedule is late or cannot yet be verified.
Cloudflare’s always-on database recovery history can retain an earlier state for longer. That infrastructure limit is named in the fossil record. This is a small refusal, not a claim of perfect anonymity or instant erasure.
